Amazonite??????

Hey everybody!
I found a gorgeous large stone today while riding my bike around town. I think I found amazonite, and would like to see what you guys think!

I don't think it is Amazonite. The structure looks all wrong to me. It looks like soapstone. Try a hardness test, Amoazonite is a microcline feldspar, with a hardness of 6. Let us know, it looks like a neat rock!

That's not but looks similar kind of.

It is definitely amazonite. The cleavage planes give it away. Soapstone can be scratched with a finger nail.

IMHO, it doesn't look like any Amazonite that I have ever seen, found or owned. I would venture a guess that it is possibly Jadeite.

Hi guys,

I did a test on it, it barely even cuts with a knife, it's extremely strong.

It's not jadeite honestly. It's not green at all. It's a very bright blue. I'll post another pic here
