Amboy meteorite

We found a 22 lb chunk of meteorite from the Amboy Ca. area. Just wondering what it might be worth. There doesn't seem to be anyone here that knows anything about them, but I have run into a couple of people here that have found smaller pieces.

A 22Lb chunk is a substantial meteorite IMO! Need PIX! Without pix it could just be a Boeing bomb! Joe Dirt once found one & just a little tip (if it has a peanut sticking out anywhere it's not a space peanut) & if there is what you actually have is just a big old chunk of frozen poopie.

A lot of it depends on the type of meteorite it is. If its a true meteorite, it will need to be tested for confirmation. One thing they all have in common is nickle. ok, lets say you have it tested and they can give you a thumbs up that it is a meteorite, then your 22 lb chunk of space rock could be EXTREMELY valuable. Museums love this stuff, and it possibly could go into the 5 or 6 figures because its so large, making it very rare..... Definitely worth looking into to having it tested.....

I saw a story on TV about a guy who had a rock he found in the CA desert and was using as a doorstop and a friend had him get it examined and was from Mars and worth a quarter million dollars and he couldn't remember where he found it.
