I have been out the past 3 days doing some swingin with the CZ21. The first day I went to 4 properties on the same street owned by the city that are scheduled for future demolition. I got permission from the city to detect them. I spent 5 hours detecting the 4 of them trying to see what was there. They were built between 1920 and 1925. I found 131 coins in 5 hours with a face value of $8.38, a nice assortment of old cars, a toy gun, an old valve stem cover, keys, an organ reed, 2 tokens, a 1906 holes Indian head penny, a 1929 D wheatie, a hand saw medallion and the usual assortment of junk.

The tokens are a mystery. The US SPECIALTY COMPANY, NEW YORK has a center spot that looks like something was there and is missing now. The aluminum one has a hole in the middle and is in bad shape. I can make out GOOD FOR on the back and on the front there is some scroll work and I can make out a large E on the edge of the hole but that is it. That one is probably from some local establishment that will be impossible to identify. If anyone has info on the US Specialty Company I would appreciate it.

Day 2 I went to campus for 3.5 hours. I managed 66 coins with a face value of $4.59, a key, a 1940 wheatie, and a mashed civil war minie ball. It looks like it was run over by some heavy equipment when they created the campus.

Day 3 I went back to campus for 4 hours and found 133 coins with a face value of $4.08, 113 of the coins were pennies, 2 sea dog clips, and aluminum bead, keys, a whistle and a hundred dollar bill (at least a miniature one from a key chain). Nothing special that day except for the boatload of pennies.

Tomorrow I hope to do some water detecting in a spot I have had some luck in the past. Not usually a lot of coins or jewelry, but frequently at lease one gold or silver.

You might consider posting your token pictures on WHAT IS IT? for more exposure...
