Went detecting on my birthday. Not a lot of good stuff. My Minelab likes the pulltabs. I did find an old button with a floral pattern and still has the shank. Then I found an Old Timer pocket knife with rusted blades. Maybe someone could help me with the dating of both.

Sorry about the quality of the photos but have a crap phone.

Don't know about your finds.

Just wanted to say happy birthday!! :cake:

Happy birthday and congrats on your finds. You can still buy the old timer knife, I carried one for years on the trap line.

Happy B/D to you - pocket knife picture is a little blurry, I bought one (3 blades) like it probably just over 20 years ago can't remember where, I thinking Sears. I can't seem to get pass pull tabs & square tabs myself - anyway thanks for sharing your pictures and story with us & wish you many more while out dirt fishing.

Happy Birthday and nice knife find.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes! You guys are great.

The old timer is classic made by Schrade that has been around for 100+ years. The handle doesn't look that old. Can't see enough detail (two-piece?) on the button to help, but congrats on the finds and your birthday!
