More finds from the old Farmhouse. The Miners Tag on the top was an incredible find. I found it in my home town in Ohio. I had found my Grandfather's Miners Tag, the tag on the bottom , just last week, 300 miles away in Pennsylvania. Adding to the " weirdness " factor is the number on the tag. My grandfather's was " 168 " and the one that I found days later was " 186 ". ALSO the name of the company that owned the Mine is on the bottom of the tag. When I looked it up I found that it had operated until 1910. 3 years before my grandfather was born. The mine was located in Fayette County by Republic Pennsylvania . . . . right where I found my Grandfather's tag in his backyard 39 years after his death.
