These were dug in CT and have a handmade/ crude/ cast appearance. Probably cast with hand finishing. Looks like a peened back angle on the base where it may have been crimped to a thin plate of metal. No evidence of plating, but may have been. maybe the center holder for a candy dish, but seems pretty old.
Ancient?Cast Brass/ Bronze Eye/ Handle Studs of some sort?
