Ancient Looking Piece of Metal

I found this item in Luxembourg (Western Europe.)
It is made of either copper or some sort of copper alloy.
I have found other items dating back to the 1600s in the area.
It looks super old and interesting but I have no idea what it could be.
Any help is appreciated.

What do you think it is? Looks like a small bronze or brass handle to me however I’m no expert on European artifacts.
