Ancient piece of bronze!

Hi guys
I found this piece of bronze in a site where i have found only coins from 300-400 BC. I have found there also some sling bullets but not coins from other periods.
It looks to me like a stamp but maybe anyone has a better idea.

I wonder if it could be a weight for a scale? Size and weight might help.

It weights 58 grams. The square part is 1.5 cm & 3 cm.

Resembles a fly weight for a governor.
