I think North African is a good guess , and I'm guessing 20th century .what does it weigh ?

Where / how did you come across this ???

It is quite heavy and it has been in my family for many decades...I remember playing with it as a child...many moons ago ! What makes you think North African ? I have yet to see a North African piece with such a triangular punch mark decoration ? ... However that fact Doesn't mean they don't exist ...;):dontknow:

I think you hit the nail on the head. It seems to me to be a modern repro of a Viking style bracelet.

Abela , I have seen massive bracelets of African origin - yours reminds me of those - I have no facts to back my hunch .

( You were the one who first suggested North Africa )
