Well, it happened again. Two more great silver finds today.
Was in a rough area of town today and saw a small park that I had never noticed in the past. Couldn't have been a couple acres in size, if that. Was in one of those areas where your best friend is generally Ruger or Smith & Wesson.
I ran home and got my Etrac to come back and do a once over before the school buses dropped the kids off. Thirty minutes into my hurried search, KABLAM. Got a solid 12-45. 1918 D Mercury Dime in the plug. Happy I was. Silver smile did I do.
Was stoked to find it considering all I dug prior to that was fire ant caps and a bunch of clad change. And dang those quarters sound like silver on the Etrac. Damn quarters.
Anyway, I decided after seeing a bus round the corner, that my time had come to an end.
I started back to my car and KABLAM! A 14-48 hit on the Etrac. Curious I was. Dig did I do. Low and behold. .925 - 6 Gram silver ring with 21 questionable stones in it. Im guessing they are cz but they had holes in the band behind each stone so they make me question them.
Now I was really stoked. Right about that time I heard two voices behind me say, "Ohhhhhhhh look! That guy has a metal detector. Lets see what hes finding." So, on that note I vacated the premises.
Thats 12 Silver Fty. 7 with Etrac in last two weeks.
Thanks for looking. Happy Hunting!
