We can finally see bare ground most places after an awful January and February. I've been dying to get back to an old home site and today I got my chance. In places, there was still frozen ground a couple inches below thaw but that didn't stop me! In an area that has yielded five 19th century coins, I finally found some silver - this 1918S Merc. It has nice detail and we're becoming fast friends. It also has the honor of being my first silver of 2015.
