Not the slots for sure!
Took the lovely bride out for a nice meal at Outback, and then down the road a bit to cash in a couple bags of coin that have been sitting around for a couple months+. Yeah, months. I screwed up my back the first week of June, on top of having a pair of knees that have been screaming "You're getting old!" all year long. Long and short of it was I canceled my weekly order since A. I was 3 weeks past on cashing in past orders, and B. the knees hated the extra weight and walking carrying bags to cash in (no coin machines around here), and then the back started in......
Anyway, I am down to under a grand to be cashed in after tonight and nearly have the old bank account built back up to where it belongs. AND I found my first silver in quite a while. Played a bit on the slots (no joy there, and I mean none) and slipped the cash ticket into the redemption machine - a whopping $0.55, and out pops a 1943-S nickel!!!
I'm getting back in the game once again. I'm just going to have to switch to a more cart-friendly environment, i.e. rolling the coin and carrying it boxes now to a bank window rather than loose in bags to the teller cages. There's a redemption fee of $1.50/box, but I'll save a major chunk in gas and wear and tear of the ol' bod doing so.
Remember, it's still out there!
