Anderson Excalibur Extension Shaft

Has anyone ever used the Anderson Excalibur Extension Shaft for the excalibur 2 s shaft that comes with the unit? If so how did they like it and how did you run the wire so it did not interfere with your grip?

I have the extension on my Excal2. I have drilled a hole 90 degs from the standard. Now the knobs are pointing up. They don't get in the way at all.
I will post a pic in a few minutes.
To answer your question, I run the cable above the grip. It is taped in place. I tried running the cable under the grip but it did not do it for me.
