Another 1943 copper Wheat penny documented!!!...

The 1943 'lunch money' copper cent was found in 1947 and sold for $160,000.

I thought it was 1.9 million from what I read

Even if it was gold. I wouldnt spend that much on a penny

The media reported that it would likely sell for 1.7 million but that was only to generate interest in the story.

We all better check our change! :icon_thumleft:

The guy who spent $1.7 mil must be pissed!!!!

That's because his was the first :laughing7: If a third coin is found it will sell for less than this one.

Just saw on Heritage Auctions it sold for $204,000 !!!!!

It went for so much less because if you put it under a telescopic zoom lens from the hubble family there is a microscopic nick that can be barely see yet it is there and coin collectors dropped the value 1,6 million dollars LOL they are a strange lot
