Very cool, good perseverance on your part, every time I dig a nickel I look for those dates, when I found my 1943, I turned it over and could almost make out the P,I kept running back and forth to a mud puddle to wash it, it wasn't until a few hours later I confirmed it (bad eyes) I felt like doing a backflip. For me, finding one of those is very cool. Congrats!
LOL shortly after stepping on the Field, I dug a Clad quarter,
Few steps more a Nickle , didn't look at the date, it was obvious newer,
Next few steps Shotgun Brass, few more steps another Nickel,
same location on the Meter as the last nickel.
But this one due to depth I think, I don't remember depth, I decided to check date.
(it didn't look silver out the ground, had a Dark dirty Crust,
but I saw 45, then thought Wait a minute

& turned it over to look above the Dome & saw P
maybe 5 inches away from that, I got another nickel signal, But it turned out to be more shotgun Brass
Anyway Thanks
