Hi everyone, Had a pretty good weekend. I actually had time to get out and hunt. The more time I have the better I can do.

I got out Saturday to a old park. I found the transit token there. We only hunted the park for less than 2 hrs.

Sunday was a no hunt. I had to do 3 Easters.

Lance, Called me though and actually discovered a cellar hole near his home. I got up early Monday mourning and went and met up with him. I took some pics of the site. I don't have the film developed yet though.

It was slow but I did manage to find 3 neat keepers. One large token that reads like this. Front says Bull Throwing Award. With a man holding a bull by the horns. Back says awarded to with a blank box. Then below the box it says for recognition of your natural ability. Pretty cool token that I don't already have.

I also got a 1913 sunoco series 2 token. And a 50th anniversary coca cola tag. All were in a 3 ft area of one another.

While I was at the cellar hole a friend of mine called me one my cell phone and wanted to know when I got back home if I wanted to go out again. I said sure. The wife's going shopping so I'm free to go.

We headed just a few miles down the road to a old ball field. He is older and likes to clad hunt. It's easier on his body.

As soon as we got there I walked out into left field. Got a quarter signal. Dug down about three inches and a really nice arrowhead was in the hole.

I was really happy about that. Once you find one the rest come easier. Even Indian artifacts. I found my first arrowhead a month or so ago. Now a second. I've been looking for years. Now I am starting to find them.

We decided to head up into the woods. After about 10 minutes I found a 47 nickle. I thought it was a good sign. I kept hunting and was at the crest of the cliff were you could watch the games.

I got a decent signal and dug the presidential token. I then reswept the same area and got a nice quarter signal right up against a tree. Next thing I know I was holding a standing lib. No date but they usually don't have one. I reswept again and got another nickle type hit. A few minutes later I was holding a war nickle.

My friend has a hard time hunting with me. It's all experience patience and know how. We hunted for a little while longer and I pulled a 44 merc.

We called it quits after a few hrs. I was happy with my days take at that point. My friend however found a really nice relic. I will post it in the what's it section some time later today.

Thanks alot for viewing everyone

HH Jer

Way to go JerDfx! That point you found looks like a classic Kramer point, or a Dickson. Both are closely related from around 3000 to 2500 y.b.p. for a Kramer or 2500 to 1600 y.b.p. for a Dickson. The base looks ground to be and could be heat treated Burlington chert. I'm sure you told me before, but where are you located? This could help me identify the material for you. The Adens people where mound builders and know for making some really nice points. I'll post some pic. for you to look at of some that I have found. I have found lots of Adena points in fact I have more of those than any other points. I do have one Kramer point and will put that on here for you as well. If you would like to know more about these people e-mail me and I let you know what I know. Nice metal finds too! I dont know much about metal, but I'm pretty good with flint. Hope that helped and HH.

Love a day like that a wide variety of finds. WTG Burdie

Jeremy, I was born and raised in Pittsburgh. I've lived here in Florida for the past 10 years. I've been detecting for the past 6 years. Every time I read one of your posts it KILLS me that I didn't get into detecting when I was growing up. What's worse is my dad had a metal detector when I was a kid. I was all about baseball back then. :( Good Job

Love those tokens! Always great stuff Jeremy!

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks alot for all the replies everyone.

You have some aewsome points Andy. Mine looks like the second one you posted. It real thick but a different color. Thanks for all the info you give me on indian artifacts.

It was found in Pittsburgh P.a.

The signal was a strong clad quarter Jeff. I was out in left field of a ball field that is used today still. The mound that they got the indians from is right above the field about 50 yrds away.

I guess it was shot down from the top of the mound. Or maybe lost while excavating the area.

I bet you miss it at times Willie. It's a nice old area for treasure hunting. You sound like me. I was into baseball when I was younger and still am. Glad I got into treasure hunting though to.

I dig alot Vic, Because I don't let any signal stay in the ground. That's how I get so much. When I'm ignoring signals it's time for me to call it a day. I know the dfx like the back of my hand. But digging everything has it's benefits.

Thanks again for all the replies.

Good Luck to everyone

HH Jer
