Good afternoon, I worked a stretch of old woods near a stream this morning. I started finding clad from the 70’s and 80’s, including quarters so I was convinced that no one had been through this particular spot. I got a solid 31 on the Equinox and was absolutely thrilled when I saw silver in the hole.

There’s an important lesson here for those who are new to the hobby. Clad can serve as an indicator that a spot has not been worked! Once I started finding quarters I knew that no one had been through this spot. It was only a matter of time before I would find something older. I’m glad that I kept on working the area, even when digging clad was getting frustrating!
