Went to the bank for another quick coin search. I got $200 in dimes from the bank and found a single silver rosie. After that I went to a gun show and as some of you know they sell coins there as well. I picked up a 1967 french 10 francs coin. I was wondering if anyone knew what the silver content weight is in ounces on this coin. I've looked it up but I am getting mixed responses. I think it is .723 oz. Can someone confirm this please? Sagittarius98 can you help me out?

You are correct on the silver weight. It's .900 fineness.

.7234 troy oz.; worth melt.

What did you pay if you dont mind me asking.

Since the silver weight is .7234 I paid under spot for it. I got it for $20. By the way it sounded, looked, and felt I was thinking it was going to be exactly like a peace/morgan dollar, but it's slightly under the silver content for those. With current silver prices this would melt at roughly $22.40. So not a bad buy at all. I love getting silver under spot.
