Today at lunch, I decided to hit an area down from my S-3 shop where I had found my silver half dollar and silver quarter just the week before. I was there for 20 minutes slowly sweeping my BH-T4 right on the grass. I found a USMC button from the herringbone uniform and my first Mercury Dime. The past two weeks has been a period of firsts: First four silvers, first IH penny, first CW era heel plate, first vintage radiator emblem. My display shelf in my office is filling up fast. Marines come in my office and "Ooh" and "Ahh" at the items and they start taking an interest in history. That's what makes me do this.

Love that saying Papa and a Big Congratulation's on your first and may there be many more to come :headbang:

Thanks CM1. Its my signature now. I will be in the same area tomorrow at lunch. I think it was an area where tents were set up periodically from the mid forties into the fifties.

There should be a lot of silver waiting for you there. Lots activity during the war. Nice save!

Thanks BM. This evening I found a 1916 wheatie next to one of my H-Barracks. I will let you know what tomorrow brings.

Thanks SP. ;D

Thanks LH. If a buffalo nickel pops out, I will almost have a silver grand slam out of one spot....

Congratulation's Papa Bear, Silver helps to keep your heart in good shape.
Keep chasing that Coil, Good Luck
Kevin
