Tonights short hunt keepers were a toe tap, a few flat buttons, 1918 Buffalo, war nickel, 1849 LC(#13 from here) and my first two center in about a year. Gonna give it a good long hunt tomorrow. Wish me luck for that elusive early silver coin
I love those war nicks, but don’t dig many places anymore that have ‘em. Great large cent- those later years had good planchets and held up well generally

Two houses were in this field. They were both colonial era but unfortunately or fortunately however you look at it, they were both occupied well into the 20th century before being torn down. So lots of variety AND trash. I love those early sites that were gone by the Civil War or even earlier but finding them aint always easy.
