This morning I went to some land in Sumter County, GA that has been bottom plowed and the seed beds for peanuts have been put in. I had looked for about 30 minutes when a truck pulled in by my car and a man got out and started walking in another part of the field. I waved at him but was surprised to see somebody start looking in a field that I was already looking. After about 5 minutes he walked toward my car/his truck waved at me and thru something on the ground. He got in his truck and started backing out. I hurriedly walked toward him and waved. He stopped and I introduced myself. It turned out that he was one of the brothers that farm the land (and lots and lots of land in southwest Georgia). He was seeing if the land was dry enough to begin planting peanuts and he had found a nice point. That was what he had thrown down by my car. He said he didn't want it. It is the point on the right in the first picture. I was pleased to find the other 3 points.

Actually the person who found and gave me the point was one of 3 brothers who rent the land to farm it. He is not one of the owners. The 3 brothers rent lots and lots of land to farm in at least 3 Georgia counties.
