Made a couple more trips to our barber site. First day pulled another merc, a couple Indians and a toasted half cent.
Didn't clean the Indians up yet, one was a 1865 and the other 1892. The usual junk and littles which are getting harder to find , this place is getting pretty cleaned out. Lol the pendant is a Hong Kong special.
Second day only keepers were another seated half dime and a 1795 Liberty Cap LC.
The kid got himself 3 silvers alone yesterday, he can post his own finds.

Very nice Liberty Cap. She's beautiful like she is - leave that girl dirty with no makeup. Lol

Big congrats on a super condition '94

Your the expert on old copper clean up, any hope for the back of that 94?

Nah, the reverse took the brunt of the corrosion and there's not much left. But that's a good thing since it left you with a stunning Liberty. Imagine it were the other way around?

I wonder why the corrosion was so different between the obversse and reverse ? The obverse is one of the stronger Liberty Cap cents I've seen in a while ! Nice on the half dime too .

Often a coin lays flat - one side up which takes the moisture and corrosion, and protects the underside. All that depends on the type of ground it was in, a good example being a wet area or a turned over field.

Excellent hunt. Love the Liberty Cap.
I found one last year but it's not nearly as nice as yours...

Great to see she has her profile all pretty still, congrats on the silver as well.

Love the liberty!!

Good gravy, that is a beautiful obverse! Love how stark the date is...very, very well done.

Nice coin finds. The early copper is great. I got a 1797 last week, but like yours, one side is quite good while the other side is quite poor. It sadly happens too often with coppers.

What an awesome day of digging!

Incredible finds!! That Liberty Cap looks amazing!! Congrats and HH
