The silver has been fairly consistent, even with the coin shortage and the upswing in price.

Additional finds:

The 1942 nickel is a Type 1 (no mintmark, no silver). Also 27.50 pesos, more wash and vacuum tokens, and another $1.20 in clad...

...including 90 cents that went for groceries. (No free lunch? How about three of them?)

Nice finds... and lunch three!

Fan DIME tastic! I got me two 1943 steel pennies on Saturday outta the reject slot on the coin star machine at my grocery store. It's been waaaay tooooo loooong since it has given up some silver.

Nice score. After silver, steel pennies are some of my favorite finds.

Guys, keep those Coinstar logs going. And there's still silver in them thar machines.

As I was saying...

This breaks the pattern, but I'll take it. A 1950-S (low mintage, too bad someone took a pair of pliers to it). The 1956-D was on the floor next to the machine.

The 13th seems to be my lucky day. I've found six silvers on the 13th of the month, more than any other day.
