Another Riddle

[WV Hillbilly]

A man was walking down a country road , he walked around a bend & saw a group of people standing at the edge of the road . He walked up to them to see what was going on & saw a dead man laying in the ditch . One of the group said that none of them knew who the dead man was & asked him if he knew . He replied , brothers & sisters I have none but this mans father was my fathers son . How was he related to the dead man ?

If you know the answer just put a smiley face .

Sorry folks , I forgot I posted this & was supposed to give the answer in a couple days . Well 258 people read the riddle & only 13 was able to figure it out so to the 245 people who couldn't the answer is , the dead man in the ditch was the son of the man walking down the road .
