Visited the coinstar on the way home from work, and saw someone at the machine when I went in. I had to wait a few minutes, and discretely watch. I noticed that the person using the machine never looked down at the reject tray - good for me! After he left, I found a lot of coins in the tray. There was $2.09, mostly clad, but with a 1957 Roosevelt! It was an interesting mix of coins, with most of them 21st century, but there were a couple of nickels from the 60's, and several pennies from the 70's and 60's. It makes me wonder where the coins came from. Of course, they could have been from multiple different users of the machine, but I think that you don't get too many people in a row that don't check the coin reject tray.
