- Minelab Safari with SEF 8x6; coming soon: FORS Gold+
We have had three gorgeous sunny days of Spring here in SW Washington and very little time for me to detect. But today I headed out to the store and decided to stop by an old park for about 45 minutes. It seems my shorter hunts have been my most productive lately.
My very first signal registered +38/+39 on my Safari in relic mode, down about 5", and out comes a lovely '61 Rosie! My third silver dime on the Safari.
Then a number of clad quarters and dimes, followed by an aluminum good luck token. On the reverse I think it says:
"I LOVE KAYE DYKE DO__S SHE LOVE M"
It was folded in half when I found it and very corroded in spots, but I'll try soaking it in lemon juice to see if I can get any more detail.
I also found a wheatie, but the date is hardly readable. But looks to be in the '40s.
The last find is what may be a 14k plated earring. There is a stamp on the back but it is so worn I can't read it. This item was laying on top of the ground, with just a tad of dirt covering the sides.
Lastly, on Saturday the wife and I went to the tulip fields in Mossyrock hoping that they would all be in full bloom. We were disappointed to find very few blooming.
