Well Sunday turned out to be pretty nice, 5 degrees and partly cloudy. So I got permission from the wife and burned rubber to the silver mine. I hit alot of new ground, but also went back over the area where I found the 1922 nickel and the old pennies. This time in zero discrimination and iron audio with the Garrett AT-Pro. I can tell you I will be hunting in zero discrim from now on. Cause I found a 1968 silver dime sitting vertical in the dirt near some rusty iron. And it was in spitting distance of where I dug that "J" nickel. There was also a 1968 nickel in the hole with the dime.

Anyway, not to bore you all with my information. :evil5: Let's get to the goodies!! :tongue3:

Here's all the finds for the day. 1 loonie, 1 quarter, 1 silver dime, 1 nickel, 33 pennies, a spoon with hallmarks, a Manchester United football pin, a watch face, a modern coat button, and 2 dog tags with name of dog/owners phone numbers.

Spoon and the hallmarks. What I know so far on the silver plated spoon. WILLIAM PAGE & CO, Birmingham. Firm established in 1834. The other symbols i have no idea about, cannot find information on them yet.

1968 silver dime. Lucked out on this one as it is .500 silver, they changed to crap metal that year. So I could have gotten a clad one. 50/50 I guess, but I won!

And now for something completely different. My wife and I rolled the last years worth of pennies, nickels and dimes from a change jar on Saturday. Here's some pictures of my finds from the pile of change.

1912 wheat cent. Really nice early wheat cent find, as the wheat cents started production in 1909.

And the piste resistance! A 1967 Mackerel Dime to sit along side my 1968 silver.

Hope you all enjoyed my little finds, I'm about done with that park...at least until I get ahold of the 5x8" coil for the AT-Pro. Then I'm gonna redo it all again, cause there's alot of iron, nails, etc in that place.

Nice finds  Pro zero is how I run my AT would never go back to using disc on any machine. Pretty convinced it hurts more than it helps :blob7: But I dont mind digging trash either :tongue3:

Nice silver. Every time I find a 1968 Canadian dime a magnet sticks to it :'(. At least you got a silver one :)
