Today, I called the bank to see if my box of halves had arrived (it hadn't), but I spoke to the same teller from the link and he mentioned that someone was unsuccessfully trying to get the coin machine to accept halves the day before.
The teller just took the halves and gave the man his money.
He told me that the halves were all from 1966 thru 1969 and asked me if I wanted them.
Of course, I said, "Yes, I'll be right over". 15 minutes later, I was the proud owner of 16 40% silver halves.
