I don't think so, as between the pully (which turns freely) & the knob is a washer.

So um, I'll look around more and see what I can find because who knows... maybe it's a pully behind a decorative thinggy...

Is there a clue as too what it is from the only remaining part... the back attachment piece?

The "stem" sticking out of the back looks as if it may lock into something, twist and lock sort of say. It's kinda small for a cabinet pull, and the spacer looks a little too uniform, more pulley like.
