I recently purchased a bayonet, and it appears to be hand-made, most probably around Civil War, possibly as early as Revolutionary War. But, I have no way to definitively identify or to appraise its value. The "frog" on the bayonet is very unusual, as the part which attaches to the rifle is quite flat. Any guidance would be appreciated.
