Antique cast iron cobbler's shoemaker's anvil
I get to my detecting site and right away I hit this aluminum tone and dig 2 to 3 inches and find the hole bottle.
Than I start detecting up a hill in the woods and find a 1924 Lincoln cent about 4 inches deep.
I'm going uphill and get an overload and look down to see just the small cast iron end of the shoe horn sticking out of the ground.I wish I had the camera with me so I didn't have to lug this all the way back to the car. I looked on ebay and couldn't find one like this so I don't really know what it is or was used for.
It's 11 5/8 inches long.
