Any clue?

I know the chances of someone knowing what this is are probably between zero and zilch, but I have looked at it long enough and can't seem to part with it. Found on a coast up north metal detecting and it is the size of a quarter? For some reason it reminds me of a coin but not sure why; wishful thinking I guess. Any ideas?

Not 100% sure. Thought silver at first, but doesn't sound like a modern silver coin when dropped. Not what I think of with lead. Don't really know.

It might be melted aluminum.It has the look of it, put a magnet to it.
