I'm a novice myself having dabbeled in the hobby back when I had a vintage Garrett BFO (Beat Frequency Oscillator) detector. Never had much luck with it and it just frustrated me more than anything try to set it up . I plan on getting out early Spring in 2010 and maybe contact some of you to see who would be up for hunting.
