His folks. I'm new to this site and new to gold panning so I'm eat up with questions right now. I live in SC but I owned a nice parcel of land in Cherokee County Alabama and was wondering if it would be worth my time to do some panning there. The property I own is about 400 acres near Centre, it's very hilly, almost mountainous. The road I use to get up the hill on the property runs partially in a stream bed. The stream itself looks like what you'd picture as a mountain stream. Lots of rocks and fast moving water coming down off the hill. It "looks" like it should hold gold. But I don't know the gold history of that area. Hence my question.

Does anyone here know of any gold found or has anyone here done any panning in this area?

Thanks in advance for any and all info.

no gold, but if you own 400 acres theres probably a butt load of arrowheads

yeah no gold there, but like he said there are probably a boat load of arrow heads or civil war stuff. never know till you start looking around.
