So I found this back a couple hunts when I found the Barber Quarter. Kind of forgot about it with the hunts I've had going, and life in general.
Anyway I don't think it was a utensil handle, but it does look to have had something attached at the pointed end. I've included pics of the pointed end and the large end. Hope someone will recognize it. It's just old and cool with the decorative design.

First thing that came to my mind is that you may have it upside down and it could possibly be a keyhole cover? Is it decorative on both sides?

Just decorative on one side. I added a picture of the back.

That's an interesting piece. It appears to be somewhere around 3 inches long, which would be quite large for keyhole cover. Tintaint, can you post a photo of yours for comparison?
