The artist's full name is apparently Emile Jean Horace Vernet. Can't find this version, but copies of the color oil painting are available online. The title of the painting is The Battle of Pont D'arcole.

Do you own or purchase any of the items you post? You never include a backstory and for that reason I generally avoid your threads. You seem to ask for far more than you give back.

No back story I either find stuff at old house I clean out...... Or any market.... Store or wherever the stuff catches my eye....what would you like me to give back........and yes I own everything I post........I have been told by numerous tnet members that they enjoy seeing my posts...........where else would I get this stuff not sure I understand the question do I own the stuff
