Any ideas on this ring's markings
Found this ring yesterday. Nothing else found was older than the 60s or 70s, so I don't think it's too old. It looks like silver but there's no sterling or 925 marking. When I was polishing it, I noticed what looked to be a couple of dents on the OUTSIDE of the band. Took the magnifying glass to it and found it was a couple of maker's marks. It looks to me to be PV in one stamp and maybe a whale in the other? Anyone have any ideas what they are for
