Side shot possible? Trying to determine if you have a lead seal.

Well here are my ideas: I think I can make out an ox or steer's head with numbers "3" and "7" on it's sides and maybe a "1" atop. Could be far fetched. For the other side I have no clue...

You should take a pic with steady light falling in from one side at an angle, don't use the camera's flashlight head-on. This will give more contrast to the picture because the shadows will be more intense.

Here is a shot from the side. the numbers are 337 . Thinking maybe a railroad car seal but not sure.

I'm thinking lead seal too.

You have to wonder what was sealed with it, ammo, payroll.... :dontknow:

Certainly not a typical cotton bale or agricultural seal. Nice find. :thumbsup:

Aaaaah nice shot, everything is clear-er now.

I still enjoyed the time I spent trying to "see" things on it :-)
