Any ideas

There is a swastika on the side but didn't want to post it and offend anyone.

Anybody posting on this forum should know it was a good luck symbol in 1908. If they don't, the deserve to be offended.

I checked the name and the date and the location but nothing jumped out at me. I would guess it was a personal memento. Heart with an arrow through it must mean something special happened.

Heart with arrow + bird = Love bird? Maybe Sept. 10 is the day he met "the one".

Is that too corny? :love3:

The swastika was for stamping pottery perhaps ... but ? ? ?

Looks like it was used as an ink stamp with that black stain on it. A one off hand whittled piece of wood is what I'm seeing. Yes, I do see evidence of it being handled by human hands. How unique.
