Any Ideas?

Found these in a Civil War camp. Anybody have any ideas? The large piece has some sort of design on it, and it screws onto something. Any help would be appreciated.

What metal? Does the small end of the top piece have threads in it? Do you think the large piece was round to begin with? Are both ends of the large piece open

Mike, I think it's pewter or lead both seem to be of same metal, Yes small end of big piece has threads, Yes large piece was round and yes hollow all the way thru.
