Interesting find No idea what it is

Has the shape of a large cent or halfpenny. Size and photo of back would help ID it.

Not sure the reverse may help? Looks to be circa 100-150 years old.

Some companies had tool tags. Workers were issued a number or or a design on a metal tag. When someone would get a tool they would hand in a tag so the companies knew who had gotten the tool. Not saying this is the case just a possibility :)

Bingo chip or cattle tag.... maybe even telephone / electric pole tag that has not been used.
Not a bingo chip:
"B" (numbers 1–15), "I" (numbers 16–30), "N" (numbers 31–45), "G" (numbers 46–60), and "O" (numbers 61–75).
? a cow tag: No hole to attach the item

Need to see the reverse side of this item if there was a attachment pin/peg/screw
