Any info on the 4"Nugget Coil for BH

Hi gang,
Been a while since i have been here on the forums, due to my health.
Had a friend in AZ asked me to visit and go nugget shooting with him.
All i have is a Bounty Hunter Tracker IV with the standard 8" coil.

Just wondering if anyone has experience with this machine nugget hunting with the 4" coil.

I have placer gold from NC and a few small nuggets and pickers but the 8" coil will not pick them up.
It picks up coins, clad silver or gold just fine.

Thanks for any suggestions and Happy Hunting to everyone.
Mike

Hey Mike,

The 4 inch coil is just about the only coil I use anymore on my Pioneer 505. I know that it will pick up "bird shot" from a shot gun shell that is scattered in the woods. Also 22 rounds and buck shot as I have found them also. It is and can be a fantastic addition to your coil collection. It gets good depth as I have picked up the 8 inch deep coins in my coin garden in all metal mode with it, and that REALLY surprised me. It is on my youtube video. It will identify coins about 5 inches deep in disc mode. Great for trash areas and great target separation. I know that this doesn't really answer your question, but I thought i would throw out what I do know about the 4 inch coil in case it helps you out. Take care and Happy Hunting!
