But decided to do some map dowsing for around the Chicago area since I live in the area. I found several possible stashes. 3 for over a million dollars in cash. 1 of those in a wooded area and another in a side yard of an expensive house. I am goin after the one in the wooded area first because it appears to be public property and I have the approx GPS coordinates. My question, if I find the cash, can I just spend it, stick it in the bank , or stick it under my mattress? Most banks have rules about large amounts of cash coming in, don't they? Maybe I shouldn't worry about this until I find it first?
And who's the guy with the dog that can find cash? Got any tips for the rest of us on how to train a dog, maybe even a booklet for sale on how to do it properly, best type of dog for the job, etc?
I bought 15 years worth of newsletters of E.Earl Webb on cache hunting. He had a couple articles on using dogs to hunt for cash. Now he says if you find any cash, you have to give it to the feds becuase it may be 'evidence' Well, what good does that do me? I need something to live on and pay for all my treasure hunting trips? What to do?

I also think I have map dowsed/located a gold coin cache but it is in the parkway of a house several towns over and my dowsing is indicating it is 3 feet deep.No parking allowed on that street.I have some historical evidence for gold coins being near there and actually spoke some years ago with a member of the local historical society who knew somebody who had recovered some gold coins from the property.Too bad she was ill and could not see me in person back then? .Maybe I should go check with the library and historical society to confirm whether it is the right spot for sure.
I guess I have the same general problem as the guy a few posts down with the gold coin stash in the window sill of the old house. I tried to get an aerial view of the property but too many trees in the way and I didn't feel too well about constantly driving by and taking pictures of the place.People call the cops sometimes. Maybe , I can take my Whites MXT over there and see if I even get a signal on the parkway on a Sunday morning? ? How big a coil will I need? I am thinking the gold coins are in quart jars with metal lids, but at 3 feet, will I even get a signal? I was able to get a solid beep on a coffee can filled with spare change, air test, at over 2 feet, with the 12 inch Hotshot coil, which I just traded off. Will try again with the 6x9 and see what happens.
--Tom,ps,are there any cache hunters in Chicago area /upper midwest, maybe we can team up?
