I found these stirrups at different times in different locations and never thought much about them since they were a pretty easy id, lately ive been thinking based off the design maybe someone could give me a rough age or any other information

OTB...I don't know about stirrups, but I've found old Spurs different times and contacted furrier's and saddle and tack makers and they've referred me to different collectors if they couldn't answer my questions.

I'm sure there's a collectors market for your stirrups and knowledgeable folks to ID them. I checked online to get the information I needed on who I contacted.

But..There's Many knowledgeable folks here too...You'll probably get your answer!

Good Luck

I am still looking, but someone here was good at i.d.ing stirrups. Chances are they will see your post and advise you. I will keep looking for that post and hopefully be able to give you their name.

thanks for the threads I see that one stirrup in the book looks like one of mine. if mine is colonial that would make things a whole lot more interesting since I found it in se Kansas, it could even be native American. I dont know anything about stirrups but I suspect their design hasn't changed much and a colonial stirrup could look the same as an early 1900's stirrup. the bent one is brass which may count for soething
