A type of bolt with a T-shaped head that matches T-slots in a machine table. T-head bolts are used for holding parts on a machine table.

normally DC..i'd agree with you... this bolt does not have a flat surface to grip, if used in a table application as you describe...
perhaps I saw them laying about lamp poles, or some other switch stand along a rail road...
