Looking for GPS w/ a map program for the computer- to save waypoints and tracks downloaded from GPS and that one could plot a route on the computer and upload to GPS.
Large color screen. Be able to use different colors for old tracks and new track, old waypoints and new waypoints.
Battery life over 8 hours. Be able to lock screen (be able to put in pouch and not have it change screens or shut off).
I now have the Magellan Platinum w/ small B/W screen (too small for these old eyes). It comes w/ Mapsend Topo, that has worked great, but would like the above features.
I've talked to several sales people, but it didn't seem like they knew their products well.
