Anyone have experience of Champaign Urbana area?

Heading to Champaign this weekend for a wedding and thought I would bring the detector and try to squeeze in a hunt or two. I noticed there are a bunch of parks in town, and I have heard rumors of old picnic groves that U of I outings would be held back in 1800's. Anyone know of good sites to detect? Care to share? PM me if you can help.
