Properties owned by large property management companies.

Driving by the other day I noticed one of the properties i have been researching is for rent. I would really like to check this place out before a new tenant occupies the building so I come looking for advice.

Has anyone had experience in obtaining permission from large private companies In the past? If so did a letter work best? A cold call or even showing up in person?

One of the parcels in question is 5 acres with a house that was built in the early 1900's and looks really promising based on its history.

I haven't done it yet, but human nature being what it is, I would think it would be harder to say no, in person.

Just call and ask, the worse they can say is no

Its worked for me, especially foreclosed properties. I usually offer to keep a eye on the properties..

In my experience, many say no because of liability. Especially ones that are owned by lawyers.
I have gained access by talking to one of the owners of a farm managment.
