This was my great Grandfathers watch (so I will not be selling it) but out of curiosity I would love to know its value. It is from the 20/30s but that's all I know. Thanks in advance

If you type in the serial number of your watch here: Elgin Watches Serial Numbers | Elgin National Watch Company Serial Number, Elgin pocket watch you should get a more exact reading of the watch's date.

There will be a serial number on the movement itself, and it may differ from one found in the case. Often times you bought them seperately and just them together to make the watch.

I've got several Elgin's from the 20's and back and value totally depends on the condition, the movement used, etc...

I'd say it's worth at least $100-$200 without knowing anything else about it.
