Anyone in the Wise, Virginia area?

I got my first MD (Fisher F2) in April and I've fallen in love with it. I'm always looking for new places to hunt and I'm curious to see how many other people in the Wise area get out and dig stuff up!

My dad is from Wise...he moved to Florida 50 years ago when he was 15 but lots of his family members still live there. He couldn't stand the cold, gloomy winters. Weve been on vacation to Wise many times over the years. There are old abandoned home sites up on the High Knob. My dads family had a log hunting cabin up there when he was a boy. Some of our family members live in Norton. Couple of my cousins live over near Dean Bottom. I don't think any of our family up there detects. Ive got Maggard, Bolling, Collins, Hibbit and Sailor relatives around your area.

I know quite a few Maggards, all close to my age, and a few Collins and Bollings. There is an old hotel site on High Knob that I've been dying to go to but it is plastered with no trespassing signs. I'm not sure who owns the land, but if I could get permission I would be thrilled!
